• Nikon D750, is a very capable full-frame camera that I use in events due to its superb low-light performance
• Nikon 105mm f/2.8 VR Micro
• Nikon 35mm f/2D
• Sigma 12-24

Lighting

My style depends on the concept or story that I want to convey. It’s a mix of available light and one off-camera flash photography. For the off-camera lighting, I use a Yongnuo flash and a shoot-through umbrella to soften the light source which flatters my subjects.

Posing

Posing is very crucial so I ask my subjects to relax. I talk to them first, get to know them, and try to win them. Once they are comfortable then the job becomes easier. This is very crucial in women’s portraits as you want to make them look flattering in the final output.

For this shoot, I asked Amor to lay her head on the post as I think it emphasizes her jawline.

Post-production

I post-process my images depending on the theme that I’m shooting. For this concept, I used bright tones to complement Amor’s skin tone.
