Gears

I have used the following to achieve these shots:

• Nikon D750 is a very capable full-frame camera that I use in wedding events due to its superb low-light performance
• Nikon AF 80-200 f/2.8 lens, a top pro zoom in its time but still provides very sharp results and great image quality

Lighting

For this set, I utilized a mix of available light and one off-camera flash. To soften the light source, I used a Yongnuo flash and a shoot-through umbrella.

I avoided the trees and greenery in the location to prevent them from reflecting on the skin tones.

Posing

Steph knows to pose and she’s very used to it. I did not have any difficulty directing her during the shoot which made my job easier. I tweaked the poses to ensure that it flatters the subject.

Post-production

I post-process my images depending on the theme that I’m shooting. For this concept, I used a bright tone to convey a message of happiness.
